What causes humidity?

Ground walls are often an easy target for humidity related to capillary phenomena. This physical phenomenon is the same that causes the problem of rising humidity. When this event involves walls that are in direct contact with the ground, the spread of the humidity can be even more rapid, damaging and difficult to control.

Causes include:

  • THE INCREASED PRESENCE OF RAINWATER OR GROUNDWATER*, ESPECIALLY FOLLOWING LARGE OR EXTENDED RAINFALL EVENTS.

  • THE PRESENCE OF SALTS DISSOLVED IN THE WATER.

  • THE LOW TEMPERATURE THAT CAUSES CONDENSATION OF HUMIDITY INSIDE THE HOUSE.
